 | Food: Roy's Poipu Bar & Grill |
Kintaro's is a favorite with locals. However, if you decide to eat there-be prepared to wait. The dining room and sushi bar are always busy. Try the Bali Hai-a roll of eel and smoked salmon baked and topped with wasabi mayonnaise. For an "all-in-one-dish" meal consider the Nabemono. This is a single pot filled with a healthy variety of seafood and vegetables. We like the teppanyaki dinners with meat, seafood and vegetables flash-cooked on tabletop grills. This is a very entertaining display. Tatami-mat seating is available behind shoji screens that provide privacy for groups. Kintaro's restaurant has recently been remodeled. This has made the dining room feel less cramped.
